This offering of CMPT 815 will provide an introduction to computer system modelling. The course will cover basic modelling concepts and techniques, with emphasis on their application rather than on the underlying theory. Illustrative applications will concern topics such as the structure and evolution of online social networks, Internet traffic and application workload characterization, and the design and performance analysis of Internet protocols and applications.
A reading list will be provided.
