Research Interests
Design and performance evaluation issues in distributed
systems and networks. Current work is focused on
scalable techniques and architectures
for on-demand content delivery, such as in video-on-demand, and
on the design and performance evaluation of sensor networks.
Professional Activities
Professional activities include
active participation in
SIGMETRICS, the
ACM Special Interest Group on
performance evaluation, including a term as SIGMETRICS Chair
(2001-2003), service as program chair for the SIGMETRICS 1987 conference, and
as a general co-chair for SIGMETRICS 2005.
Current program committee memberships include
QEST 2013,
GreenMetrics 2013,
and IFIP WG 7.3 Performance 2013.
