B.Sc. (Toronto), M.Sc., Ph.D. (British Columbia)
In general terms, I am interested in Artificial Intelligence, and more
specifically, reasoning under uncertainty and constraint satisfaction.
The underlying theme of my current research is meta-reasoning: the
formalization of the trade-offs betwen the cost of computation and the
value of result of computation, and the explicit use of computation at
the meta-level to decide how to get the most value from computational
resources. My other interests include logic programming, functional
programming, AI and Law.
