Graduate students are required to maintain continuous registration in certain courses until their program is complete.
There are three terms for all graduate students:
- Term 1 Regular Session (September - December)
- Term 2 Regular Session (January - April)
- Term 3 Spring/Summer Session (May - August)
Masters Students
CMPT 994.0 - Thesis: In order to maintain your status as a full time student, you must register in this course in each and every term (Terms 1, 2, and 3) until you complete your program.
CMPT 990.0 - Seminar: You must register in this course during every Term 1 and Term 2 (regular session terms) until you receive credit for the course. This course is not offered in Term 3 (spring/summer) and registration for Term 3 is not required.
CMPT 880.3 - Research Methods I: This is a course which all Masters students must take as part of their program of study. It lasts for two terms only, from September to April, but has special registration requirements. You must register for each term of this class separately. You must register in consecutive, back-to-back Term 1 and Term 2 sessions of this class. You may not register in the Term 2 session of this class if you did not register in the immediately previous Term 1 session. Once this course has been completed, and a grade received, it is no longer required to register in CMPT 880.3.
Doctoral Students
