An overview will be given of the various kinds of models developed at PCS over the last decade to assist in business decision making. These will include production planning and distribution models, production costing models, detailed financial models and some probabilistic models. The tools, concepts and techniques used in the creation of the models will be outlined.
The purpose of the model is to establish a baseline energy consumption so that the operational impact of energy management projects can be determined. The nature of the data, and the data collection will be discussed. The energy consumption of some of the process units will be presented and the results for the overall complex will be indicated.
