Abstract

Texture is a vital tool for creation of realistic images. We present a model for texture synthesis based on iteration of interleaved nonlinear mapping and convolution. We show how the model parameters can be straightforwardly adjusted for nonstationary texture and texture blending. Also, we show how a sequence of operations at different scales can sculpt multiresolution textures.
