Here are some pictures of the apples of my eye(s).

Eilidh is a Gaelic name that means 'light'; it corresponds to the English name Helen. It's pronounced AY-lee (rhymes with Bailey), not eyelid. Grace is the name of Val's grandmother and my grandmother, plus it's a pretty name. MacKenzie is Eilidh's second middle name, which is also (not so coincidentally) Val's last name.

William and Benjamin are names that we both liked, plus William is my grandfather's name.  I don't need to give phonetic pronunciation for either of them, which will likely infuriate my daughter in the future and relieve some folks who can at least get one of them right straight off the bat. 

Jonathan and Michael are also names we both liked, although it took us a while to settle on them. His name means “Gift of God”, which seems appropriate for a little guy who was not only entirely unexpected, but also beat the odds many times over to join our family. Now even with the lack of sleep and non-stop business we wouldn’t have it any other way.

July 17, 2010 Note: So I haven’t been updating as often as I would like – three kids keep us on our toes! Finally got around to doing a little, though, and have managed to post some pictures from the last year.
