Graduate Studies

I am working on a master's degree in computer science under the supervision of Eric Neufeld.

Other Interests

I enjoy cycling, snowboarding, and squash to name a few sports. Unfortunately, I can't snowboard anymore since my accident.
I also bought a house with my girlfriend, Christien. We are still working on renovating it. Perhaps someday, I'll post pictures.

Computer Stuff

Apple ][ ftp list I could have been considered an apple][ enthusiast. I own an apple2gs equipped with a 40 meg hard drive, a 3.5 inch disk drive and two 5.25 inch floppy drives. However, the time of the Apple][ has come and gone.

In the summer of '97, I bought a Mac LC475 and equipped it with 12 meg of RAM and an ethernet card. It was a very nice machine but my taste for power only grew. The following year, I sold it with dreams of a faster computer.

And a few months later, I bought my first brand new computer. A Power Mac G3, minitower running at all of 266 Mhz cost me a fair bit but I am sure that it was worth it. Hopefully, I won't have to upgrade again for a while. :)

Update [Dec 2000]: Darn! My computer is already outdated and I can't afford to upgrade it.
Update [Jan 2002]: Finally got rid of that old piece of junk. Now I have a shiny new laptop.
Update [Feb 2003]: This laptop is still nice but sure isn't nearly as nice as new stuff. :(
Update [Apr 2004]: Laptop still ticking. Battery isn't as good anymore. I wish I could upgrade. Damned house renos using up all my money!! grrrr...
