Survey on Decentralized Version Control Systems

Purpose:

Version control systems (VCSs) are a key tool for managing the source code for a project. With this survey we are attempting to understand the perceived benefits and challenges of using a decentralized or distributed VCS to software development.

Recruitment Criteria:

We are seeking active software developers who use or are comfortable using a DVCS for managing the artifacts for a project.

Procedures:

This study takes the form of a survey. After giving your consent to participate, you will be taken to a web-based survey application (Google Spreadsheets). The survey has several open-ended questions, and may take up to 20 minutes to complete.

Remuneration/Compensation:

There is no remuneration or compensation provided.
