Establish an anonymous ftp connection to ftp.cs.usask.ca, then retrieve geombib.tar.gz with ftp in binary mode. (This site is on GMT-06:00, a.k.a. CST, and although we place no restrictions on access time, the hours at which you can retrieve files efficiently may vary with the load on intervening networks.) $ ftp ftp.cs.usask.ca Connected to alf.usask.ca. 220 alf FTP server (Version wu-2.4(2) Wed Apr 19 10:58:48 CST 1995) ready. The geombib subdirectory contains an explosion of the tar file, for those lacking that program. geom.bib itself however is accessible only by retrieving the full tar file prepared for contributors. The big files formerly were also made available using .Z compression, as well as in chunked form for the presumed benefit of overseas callers with troublesome ftp connections; however this has been discontinued after a couple of surveys indicated no one was still using them. If you are having problems, please consult a local support person, or jones@cs.usask.ca. The bibliography is maintained by its users, with new releases prepared each March, July, and November. Contribution reminders and announcements of new releases are sent only through a mailing list; you can join by sending mail to majordomo@cs.usask.ca with a body of "subscribe geombib". (Mail to geombib-request@cs.usask.ca will yield some details about the list and how to join, but no subscription.) Note, if you're looking for a general discussion list for computational geometry, this isn't it: for directions on that, send a mail body of "send readme" to compgeom-request@ research.bell-labs.com.
