My current research interests involve the following:
My thesis from UBC in 1998 was entitled Design, Implementation, and Evaluation of a Continuous Media File-Server for High-Speed Networks. The major areas of research covered are: distributed systems, application-layer communication protocols, and multimedia systems. I continue to be interested in network and distributed applications for multimedia, and operating systems design.
A copy of my Ph. D. Thesis is available on-line.A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, I did my M. Sc. (actually, it was here at the University of Saskatchewan). My thesis was entitled Disk Caches in Distributed Systems, which was completed in August 1988.
