Computer Science makes it easy for you to post job opportunities through multiple channels, such as our student intranet, email lists and on-campus computer labs. Contact our Outreach Coordinator with your job posting and we will be sure to spread the word! In addition, the Student and Employment Career Centre offers services for employers, U of S students and alumni.

Mitacs

If you're unsure what type of expertise is particularly suited to your business needs, you may find value in a partnership with Mitacs. Mitacs helps companies identify their innovation needs and matches them with academic expertise, thereby fostering cutting edge research tied to commercial outcomes.

Career Fair

Showcase your company at the Computer Science Career Fair and encourage students to submit resumes and ask questions. This career fair is organized by the Computer Science Students’ Society every winter. Companies are also encouraged to participate in campus-wide career fairs organized by the University of Saskatchewan for students from various disciplines.

Hire an Intern

The Computer Science Professional Internship Program (CSPIP) allows undergraduate students to obtain 12 or 16 months of practical "on-the-job" experience with a sponsoring company prior to completing the final year of their undergraduate degree program.

Government Funding

The Government of Canada has established a number of programs that provide funding and other opportunities to potential employers. Its Youth Employment Strategy is designed to help young people, particularly those facing barriers to employment, get the information and gain the skills, work experience and abilities they need to make a successful transition into the labour market.

The NRC Industrial Research Assistance Program (IRAP) Youth Employment Program also provides small and medium-sized enterprises with financial assistance to hire highly skilled post-secondary graduates.

NSERC Experience Awards

The NSERC Experience Awards (previously Industrial Undergraduate Student Research Awards [IUSRA]) offer organizations access to talented natural sciences and engineering undergraduate students for a work term. This cost-shared program allows students to address organization-specific R&D challenges while gaining valuable industrial experience. Experience Awards also let organizations identify potential future full-time employees
