Emerging Agriculture Hackathon

Canada's first and largest agricultural hackathon

Plan to attend Canada's first and largest agricultural hackathon at Innovation Place in Saskatoon!

Emerging Agriculture takes place January 12 and 13 at Co.Labs, Saskatchewan's first technology incubator, in the Concourse building. Teams of entrepreneurs will collaborate to create technology-based solutions that address challenges in the agricultural industry. This year's keynote speaker is Cory Willness, founder of CropPro Consulting and President of CropRecords.com. Following the six-hour hackathon, participants will present their solutions to some of Saskatchewan's leading agricultural companies. The event concludes with judging and the awards presentation.

Last year's hackathon winner was Project Beetle, created by Rahat Yasir. The app helps farmers detect, track and predict crop disease. Project Beetle was recently acknowledged at Pitch Party, Saskatchewan's largest celebration of entrepreneurship, and the Science, Technology, Innovation and Collaboration (STIC) Awards. Project Beetle is one of several successful Co.Labs companies at Innovation Place.

Innovation Place is pleased to sponsor the 4th annual hackathon, an event that showcases local innovators and helps grow Saskatchewan's vibrant tech sector. Register as a participant or spectator, or share your knowledge as a mentor. For more information visit the website.
