Each example shows an image, the result of segmenting that image with a certain segmentation algoirthm, the texture enhanced image created by our MCA-based method, and the enhanced image segmented by the same algorithm with the same parameters as the segmentation of the original image. The textures are enhanced without any detection of the salient objects.
