About Me

Lingling Jin is an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Saskatchewan, and an adjunct professor in the Department of Computing Science at Thompson Rivers University.

Her research focuses on computational modeling, prediction of polyploid genome evolution and ancestral genome construction. The objective is to improve the scientific knowledge of genome evolution in various biological systems through formal modelling and comparative genomics analysis, with a focus on a group of plant species.

Her research is currently supported by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada, and the Plant Phenotyping and Imaging Research Centre (funded by Canada First Research Excellence Fund).

We offer scholarships to students who enrolled in our Masters and Ph.D. programs. If you are a hard working student and interested in bioinformatics, please send me an email and have your CV attached.
