About Me

I am an associate professor in the department of Computer Science at the University of Saskatchewan. My research interests are contained within the broad areas of image processing and analysis, image segmentation, and computer-assisted diagnosis. I teach classes in image processing, computer vision, and data structures and algoirthms, and introductory programming.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my daughters, computer gaming, board gaming, and playing clarinet and tenor saxophone.

My wife is a labour doula serving Saskatoon and immediate area.

Prospective Students

I am usually, but not always, looking for students. I am simply unable to reply to the vast number of inquiries about available graduate student positions. If you apply to our graduate program, and indicate "Computer Vision and Image Processing" as your first choice of research area then I will see your application.
