Leah Bohlken

The Zu Award for Women in Technology and Community Service

This year's Zu Award for Women in Technology and Community Service recipient is Leah Bohlken. Leah is originally from Moose Jaw, and attended high school at Athol Murray College of Notre Dame before moving to Saskatoon for university. 

Leah has excelled on and off the ice during her time in university. She achieved U Sport Academic All-Canadian status five years in a row, which means she averaged more than 80% while completing full course loads of 24 credit units. In 2019, she was named league all-star for the Huskie women’s hockey team and posted an 88.6% average in her studies. 

She is also a part of the Computer Science Professional Internship Program and is currently completing her work placement at Garmin in Cochrane, Alberta. 

The Zu Award for Women in Technology and Community Service is sponsored by zu. It was created to support and recognize the community service, volunteerism and leadership of female students who are majoring in Computer Science in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Saskatchewan.
