Fall 2023 programming contest winners

Results for 2023 Fall Programming Contest

Sponsored by Yardi, the Fall programming contest took place on Saturday, October 7.

Twice a year, the Department of Computer Science hosts programming contests and the results for the latest contest are finally here!

We had 14 teams in total, around 42 participants, as well as three open teams comprised of an additional 7 participants.

In the novice group, one team solved all 12 problems! In the advanced group, the top two teams solved 9 and 8 problems, respectfully.

Thanks to our event sponsor Yardi, participants received t-shirts and a pizza lunch for attending. Additionally, the top two student-teams in each category won prizes for their hard work.

Top two Advanced Teams:

#1) Cole Dutchyn, Thomas Purdy, Mykyta Shvets

#2) Soroush Masoodian, Kartik Kapoor, Rabnoor Batra

Top two Novice Teams:

#1) Ben Pekurovski, Uday Sandhu, Xavier Zbetnoff

#2) Ahmed Boazaffour, Joseph Obeng, Parsa Djavateri

The top two advanced teams and one novice team will advance to the Regional competition in Edmonton, November 3-5. Best of luck to our teams competing in Edmonton!

Thank you to all who participated and be sure to stay tuned for the next programming contest!

Together we will support and inspire students to succeed. We invite you to join by supporting current and future students' needs at USask.
